Finance Department

Which tax office? Contact the Tax Collector for bills, payments, receipts, delinquencies, liens, water, and sewer payments. Contact the Tax Assessor for valuation, assessment records, deductions, exemptions, and assessment or appeal questions. The Tax Assessor is in the office Thursday afternoons. Email is generally the best way to reach him; callers may also leave a message. Confirm availability before visiting.

Meetings with subcode officials are by appointment. For general questions, call extension 235 or 245. The Construction Office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but permits are not issued after 2:00 p.m. Posted inspector availability may change.

The Police Department uses a separate non-emergency number. The Municipal Court is part of the New Jersey Judiciary and has its own telephone, records process, and filing requirements.
